1. General

These Terms apply to all purchases made in-store, online, or through special orders. We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice.


2. Products

  • We sell vinyl records, CDs, cassette tapes, turntables, accessories, and merchandise.
  • New and used items may be available; condition is described to the best of our ability.
  • Colors, pressings, and editions may vary and are not guaranteed unless stated.

3. Pricing

  • All prices are listed in ZAR and are subject to change.
  • Pricing errors may occur; we reserve the right to correct them and cancel affected orders.
  • Taxes are applied as required by law.

4. Payments

We accept the following payment methods:

Payment must be completed before items are released or shipped.


5. Orders & Special Orders

  • Orders are confirmed once payment is received.
  • Special orders, pre-orders, and limited releases are final sale unless damaged or defective.
  • Release dates for pre-orders are subject to change by distributors or labels.

6. Shipping & Pickup (if applicable)

  • Shipping costs are calculated at checkout.
  • Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed.
  • We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers or customs.
  • Local pickup orders must be collected within 30 days.

7. Returns & Refunds

  • New, unopened items may be returned within 5 days with proof of purchase.
  • Used records, opened vinyl, CDs, and tapes are final sale unless defective.
  • Defective items must be reported within 5 days of purchase.
  • Refunds are issued using the original payment method or store credit at our discretion.

8. Defective Items

  • Manufacturing defects include skipping, warping, or pressing errors.
  • Minor surface noise on vinyl is not considered a defect.
  • Defective items may be exchanged for the same title or refunded if unavailable.

9. In-Store Listening & Handling

  • In-store listening stations are provided for customer use.
  • Customers are responsible for handling records and equipment with care.
  • Damaged items may be charged to the customer.

10. Events & Live Performances (if applicable)

  • Tickets for in-store events are non-refundable unless the event is canceled.
  • We reserve the right to refuse entry or remove individuals for disruptive behavior.

11. Intellectual Property

All logos, store branding, photographs, and content belong to  Jams & Gems and may not be used without permission.


12. Customer Conduct

Customers must not:

  • Engage in theft, harassment, or disruptive behavior
  • Damage merchandise or store property
  • Record or photograph staff or performers without permission

We reserve the right to refuse service.


13. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Jams & Gems is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from purchases or use of our products.
